Top 5 Things to Do in Bozeman, Montana (That We Actually Do Ourselves)

Bozeman may be known for its epic views and easy access to the great outdoors, but the variety makes this town shine. Whether you’re looking to unwind, explore, or soak up the charm of a mountain town, Bozeman has a little something for everyone. Here are a few of our go-to adventures: some chill, some wild, and all unforgettable.

Take a dip at the hot springs

There’s nothing like slipping into warm, mineral-rich water after a long day on the trail or, let’s be honest, just a Tuesday. Bozeman Hot Springs offers a mix of indoor and outdoor pools, live music events, and a relaxing atmosphere perfect for locals and travelers alike. We love heading out for an evening soak under the stars; it’s equal parts adventure and self-care.

Spend the day at Hyalite

Hyalite is hands-down one of our favorite places to breathe deep and unplug. Just a short drive from town, Hyalite Reservoir offers stunning mountain views, crystal-clear water, and access to hiking or snow activities in the winter. Whether you’re packing a picnic or fishing poles, this is where you go to remember why you live (or travel) in Montana.

Get a couples massage

Tucked into a peaceful corner of paradise, Bodhi Farms is the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and stay a while. We booked a couples massage in their spa tipi (yes, it’s as dreamy as it sounds) and walked out feeling like new humans. It’s the perfect treat after a hike or just because you deserve it.

Walk around Downtown Bozeman

There’s something special about Downtown Bozeman. Maybe it’s the local shops, the old Western architecture, or how Main Street buzzes with life on a Friday night. We love grabbing a coffee, popping into bookstores and boutiques, and soaking in the good vibes. Pro tip: don’t skip the ice cream.

Take a day (or two) trip to Yellowstone

Yes, it’s technically a trip outside Bozeman, but how could we not include it? Yellowstone National Park is about 90 minutes away and 100% worth the drive. You can do it in a day, but we recommend staying overnight if you can. Think geysers, bison, waterfalls, and views that stop you in your tracks. It’s one of those bucket-list places you’ll want to visit again and again.

What did we miss?

Living in Bozeman is part adventure, part relaxation, and a whole lot of local charm. Whether we’re soaking in the hot springs, hiking at Hyalite, or strolling downtown with ice cream in hand, these are the little moments that make us fall in love with this place over and over again. And the best part? We’re just getting started. Got a favorite Bozeman spot we haven’t hit yet? Send it our way on social—we’re always up for a new adventure (especially if there’s food involved). See you out there!
